Ground Beef Stir-Fry
Sure, you can put it in a taco, but Brazilians consider this a perfect stand-alone protein alongside rice or mashed potatoes.
This is a recipe from my Brazilian Nutritionist Carla Faedo for a perfect ground beef stirfry, to be eaten just like that. I know you are thinking “that is a lot of ingredients” but trust! I love Carla’s recipes because they include so many superfoods.

What You Need
2 tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, grated
1⁄2 bell pepper, diced
1⁄2 tablespoon ginger, grated
1 tablespoon miso
1 lb ground Beef
¾ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon soy sauce or liquid aminos
1⁄2 cup tomato sauce
Black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon each of green onion & parsley, chopped
Servings: Makes 4-6 servings
Time: 25 minutes active time
Steps
Stir fry onion, garlic, ginger, bell pepper, miso in the two oils until golden.
Add beef, salt, cumin, cinnamon, stirring occasionally to cook evenly.
When the meat is browned, add soy or aminos, tomato sauce. Let simmer for 3 minutes.
Finish with black pepper to taste, green onion and parsley.
Serving Suggestion
Sure, you can put it in a taco if you wish, but I think it is perfect as a protein for your Brazi plate of rice and beans.
